Step 2
Defines an ICMP echo operation type.type icmp echo
Example:
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-ipsla-op)# type

Step 3
(Optional) Enables the monitoring of a VPN (using a nondefault
routing table) in an ICMP echo operation. Maximum length is

vrf VPN-A
Step 4
Specifies the IP address of the destination for the proper

RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-ipsla-icmp-echo)#
destination address 12.25.26.10
Step 5
(Optional) Sets the rate at which a specified IP SLA operation
is sent into the network.
frequency seconds
Example:

frequency 300
Step 6
(Optional) Use the seconds argument to specify the
number of seconds between the IP SLA operations. Valid
values are in the range from 1 to 12604800 seconds. The
default is 60 seconds.
(Optional) Sets the protocol data size in the payload of the
request packet for the specified IP SLA operation.
datasize request size
Example:
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-ipsla-icmp-echo)#
datasize request 512
Step 7
Use the bytes argument to specify the protocol data size
in bytes. The range is from 0 to 16384. The default is 36
