Configuring the Hello Time
The hello time is the time interval between configuration messages generated and sent by the root switch.
This procedure is optional.
Beginning in privileged EXEC mode, follow these steps to configure hello time:

Configures the hello time of a VLAN. The hello time is the time interval
between configuration messages generated and sent by the root switch. These
messages mean that the switch is alive.
spanning-tree vlan vlan-id hello-time

Example:
Switch(config)# spanning-tree vlan
20-24 hello-time 3

For vlan-id, you can specify a single VLAN identified by VLAN ID
number, a range of VLANs separated by a hyphen, or a series of
VLANs separated by a comma. The range is 1 to 4094.

For seconds, the range is 1 to 10; the default is 2.
