10.Unboxing
Selection and implementation of the lifting method appropriate for the situation, and liability therefor,
remains the sole responsibility of the user. Only certified forklift/crane operators should attempt lifting the
AMR.
WARNING
• Always use level rigging when lifting or lowering the product.
• IMPACT HAZARD! Never bypass the drive wheels of the AMR while on a sloped
surface.
• CRUSH HAZARD! Keep a safe distance from suspended loads.
CAUTION
• Avoid making contact with the LiDAR safety sensors as they are fragile and easily
damaged. For sensor locations, refer to the components overview section of the AMR
operation and maintenance manual.
• Use appropriately rated lift equipment and follow safe lifting procedures as defined
by the facility when lifting the product.
Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by specially trained technical personnel from the
manufacturer or customer.
See the Components overview for the location of the attachment interface on the AMR.
1. Unbox the AMR.
Unboxing using a crane
• Screw the sling swivel with washer into the attachment points provided on the AMR.
• Attach the transport unit to the crane with the appropriate lifting tackle (for example:
crossbeam, belt, multi-point suspension, ropes) and transport it, taking into account the
attachment points. The center of gravity of the load must always be vertically below the crane
hook.
IMPORTANT
Further instructions on the correct slinging of the AMR can be found in the
technical drawing.
Unboxing user a forklift
• Make sure that the forks of the forklift are retracted far enough for safe transport. The center of
gravity of the load should be on the forks. Do not stand under the load!
