9.6.Speaker
The speaker is located inside the AMR and is intended to warn personnel of an approaching AMR, working
with the light pipe to indicate various AMR states.
If the speaker is set to the highest volume, it can reach a sound pressure level of:
71.4 dB(A)
In such conditions, proper hearing protection may be necessary. A final noise assessment at the workplace
is required to determine the need of PPE.
9.7.Safety LiDAR
WARNING
CRUSH or IMPACT HAZARD! Keep low profile objects that the LiDAR cannot detect,
such as forklift tines and pallets, outside of the robot's path. For sensor layouts, refer
to the Component Overview section of the AMR operation and maintenance manual.
The AMR uses LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) safety scanners (see Components Overview [26] for
specific locations)to detect obstacles, prevent collisions, and localize in the environment. The LiDAR is
connected directly to the drive system to help avoid collisions, preventing the AMR from moving if there is
an obstacle in the LiDAR field.
9.8.3D perception camera
The 3D camera is a non-safety rated system intended to aid with obstacle avoidance for obstacles in front
of the AMR above and below the LiDAR plane.
