4.4.6 Charger to Booster, Battery and AC Feed Connections
WARNINGS!
• Be sure the external battery meets the following requirements:
Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid (VRLA)
Gelled Electrolyte (gel) and Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) Batteries or LEAD ACID
• Be sure AC power feed to the Charger is DISCONNECTED before connecting or
disconnecting the Charger to the battery.
• Be sure to connect according to the following connection sequence (otherwise the
Battery Charger may be damaged):
a. ALWAYS first connect Charger to Repeater
b. Connect Charger to Battery.
c. Connect AC feed to Charger.
• BEFORE POWERING THE SYSTEM on, make sure of the following:
• CHARGER DC OUT is connected to BOOSTER DC IN
• BATTERY connection at CHARGER is connected to EXTERNAL
BATTERY
• (After installation), after connecting or disconnecting battery, always recycle AC power
to the Battery Charger.
To connect the Charger to the Booster, Battery and AC Feed
1. Connect the Charger DC Out to the Booster DC PWR.
