Functional description

3.3 Configuration of the com.sat ISDN Basic

Configure device settings using the coMsat.exe Windows application via file cards.

3.3.1 Interface

Configure COM port, speed, and authentication for device connection.

3.3.2 ISDN Configuration

Set ISDN link layers for NT or TE mode operation and point-to-point/multipoint connections.

3.3.3 GSM/UMTS Configuration

Configure GSM/UMTS options, including prepaid credit supervision and SMS notifications.

3.3.4.1 Routing according to dialled number

Installation and operating information

4.1 com.sat ISDN Basic replaces network termination

Install com.sat ISDN Basic as an exchange (NT) at the external S0 bus.

4.2 com.sat ISDN Basic in TE mode

Operate as an internal extension (TE) on the internal S0 bus, like a standard ISDN device.

4.3 com.sat ISDN Basic in router mode

Install as NT at external S0 bus and TE at ISDN network termination for routing.

4.7 Servicing / Remote servicing

Check configuration and update firmware via USB or remote GSM servicing.

4.7.1 Servicing

Establish USB link between PC and device for configuration changes and firmware updates.

4.7.2 Remote servicing

Set up link via GSM network using SMS for callback and data link establishment.
