Low Power Outdoor (LPOD) Amplifier/Block Up Converter (BUC)
Revision 15
Appendix A A–7 MN-LPOD
The available operational settings for the Online Unit or Offline Unit serial remote commands are
as follows:
• AMP=0 (the Rx power amplifier is turned OFF), or 1 (the Rx power amplifier is turned
ON)
• MUT=0 (disabled, i.e., the Tx is NOT MUTED), or 1 (enabled, i.e., the Tx is MUTED – no
data is transmitted). Note that, in the Online Unit, the Tx Mute setting (MUT) drives that
unit’s LNB Bias Tee setting (SBT) – if MUT=0, then SBT=1; if MUT=1, then SBT=0.
• AUX=0 (disabled, meaning that the Auxiliary Mute Mode is turned OFF, or NOT MUTED),
or 1 (enabled, i.e., the Auxiliary Mute Mode is turned ON, or MUTED)
• SBT=0 (LNB Bias Tee in Off State, i.e., MUTED – no data is received), or 1 (LNB Bias
Tee is in Through State, i.e., NOT MUTED). Note that, in the Online Unit, the LNB Bias
Tee setting is driven by that unit’s Tx Mute setting (MUT) – If MUT=0, then SBT=1; if
MUT=1, then SBT=0.
• LCS=0 (the LNB Current Source is DISABLED – no voltage transmitted), or, if so
equipped, 1-4 (where the selected LNB Current Source is 1=18V 22 kHz Disabled;
2=18V 22 kHz Enabled; 3=13V 22 kHz Disabled; or 4=13V 22 kHz Enabled).
For the Offline Unit tabulation: The Offline Unit monitors the Online Unit control settings and
updates its settings every few seconds. As tabulated, “FOLLOW” means that this Offline Mute
control setting “follows” the Online Unit’s corresponding Offline Mute control. However, when an
Offline Unit control setting is listed as either “0” (disabled/OFF) or “1” (enabled/ON), this means
the Offline Mute selection “forces” this value and does not
follow the Online Unit’s configuration.
A.2.2.1 Applicable Serial-Based Redundancy Commands and Queries
These serial remote commands and queries apply to redundancy operations:
Command
Meaning Functional Description
RED
Online/Offline
Reports the appropriate unit’s online/offline status. Also used to force a
unit to go active (online).
Enable Switch Mode Puts the unit into redundancy or standalone (manual) mode.
AFR Auto Fault Recovery
Sets the latching state of faults. Either they will latch to the faulted state
or they will recover automatically.
AOF Attenuation Offset
Individual attenuation command, used to adjust out small differences in
power levels of different amplifier.
