Bias Value optimization
: It controls the voltage that pulls the electron beam generated from Filament towards
specimens.
After setting Filament Value, adjust the value of Emission Current as follows by adjusting
BIAS.
-> Recommended Emission Current: 50±5uA
In EM-30PLUS, brightness of electron beam and filament lifespan are determined
according to filament current.
Filament saturation point refers to Operating Point on graph above, when
filament current is set to this point, equipment can be used most effectively.(the
green bar area in the program)
When you increase the current value of filament, a point from where the screen
is not brightened any more appears, which is Operating Point.
