Afterdoingtheabove,positionthehandlebar clutchlever
adjustorsothattheadjustorisinthemiddleofthe
adjustmentrange.Notethattherewillstillbeconsiderable
slackintheclutchcableatthispoint.
Next,adjustthecableslackwiththeengine‐mounted
adjustors.Usetheadjustorsshown
here.Adjusttheseso
thatthereisapproximately3mmofslackonthehandlebar
clutchlever.
Lockalloftheadjustornuts(ontheengineandonthehandlebarclutchleveradjustor).Pulltherubber
adjustorhoodovertheadjustorsatthehandlebarclutchlever.Allfutureclutchadjustmentsshould
be
madewiththehandlebarclutchleveradjustors.Youshouldnotlubricatetheclutchcable;ithasa
Teflo nsheathandisself‐lubricating.
ClutchReplacement
Ifyouchangeyouroilregularly,ifyouusetherightkindofoil,andifyoudon’tabuseyourbike,your
clutchwill
lastalongtime.Ifyouabuseyourclutchitwillwearprematurely.Iftheclutchisgrabbyorif
itslipsandyoucan’tfixitbychangingtheoilorbyadjustingtheclutch,youneedanewclutch.
Draintheengineoil.SeetheOilChangesection
ofthe
ServiceManu alforinstructiononhowtodothis.Disconnect
therearbrakeleverfromtherearmastercylinderby
removingthecotterpinandpullingtheshaftout.Thiswill
allowrotatingtherearbrakeleveroutofthewaytoallow
removingtherightenginecase.
