ThefollowinginformationappliestoTT250oilchanges.
TheTT250takes1.3quartsof10W‐40motorcycleoil.
TheTT250hastwooilcleaningdevices.Oneisthestrainer(itisaddressedinthissectionofthe
Owner’sandServiceManual),anditshouldberemovedandcleanedwitheachoilchange.The
othercleaningdeviceisthecentrifugaloilcleaner,whichislocatedinsidetherightengine
crankcase
cover.Thecentrifugalcleanerdoesnotrequireregularcleaning;itshouldonlybe
cleanedwhentherightenginecrankcasecoverisremovedforotherreasons.Gainingaccessto
thecentrifugaloilcleanerisexplainedintheclutchreplacementsectionoftheTT250Owner’s
andServiceManual.
TheTT250enginehasoneoilfillportontherightsideoftheengine.
TheTT250enginehasanoilviewportontherightsideoftheengineforassessingengineoil
level,andthebikeneedstobeverticaltouseit.
TheTT250enginehasanoildipstick,whichisattachedtotheoilfillportcap.

You’llneeda24mmwrenchtoremovetheoilstrainercap.
You’llneedanoildrainpantoputbeneaththeenginewhenyoudraintheoil.
Useonlynon‐syntheticoilforthefirst1000miles.Ifyouwishtousesyntheticmotorcycleoil,
youmaydosoaftera1000‐milebreak‐inperiod.
Youshoulddothefirstoilchangeafter200miles,andthenchangetheoilevery2500miles.
Youshouldchangetheoilmorefrequentlyifthemotorcycleissubjectedtosustainedhigh
speeduseorifthemotorcycleisoperatedindustyenvironments.
