Theforkuppershavecircumferentialrings.Youcanmove
theforksupanddowninthetripleteestoadjustheight.
Movingtheforksupinthetripleteeslowersthe
motorcycle’sheight;movingtheforksdowninthetripletees
raisesthemotorcycle’sheight.
Warning!Bothforksshouldbeadjustedtothesame
positioninthetripletees,orhandlingwillbeadversely
affected.
Warning!Donotgooutsidetheadjustmentrangeindicated
bytheforkuppers’circumferentialrings.
Oncetheforkshavebeenadjustedtothedesiredposition,tightenallpinchbolts.

instructionsonfrontwheelremoval).Actionsshownhereareonamotorcyclewiththe
headlightremoved(removingtheheadlightprovideseasieraccesstotheforkpinchbolts;pleaseseethe
LightingandTurnSignalssection ofthisOwner’sandServiceManualforinstructionsonheadlight
removal).
Screwtheadjustabledamper
allthewayintothefork.This
isshownbeingdonewiththeforkremovedfromthe
motorcycle;youshoulddothispriortoremovingthefork
fromtheupperandlowertripletees.
Loosen,butdonotremove,theupperforkcapusingeithera
22mmwrenchorasocket.
Caution!Theupperforkcapisaluminumandcanbeeasily
marred.Weshowthisbeingdonewiththeforkleg
removed;youshoulddothisafterlooseningtheforkupper
tripleteepinchboltandbeforeyouloosentheforklower
tripleteepinchbolts.Thiswillholdthefork
legandmakeit
easiertoloosentheforkcap.
