5.4.3 Disable Feature
❢ This option may not be present for some Tariff set-ups. If the Disable
Feature menu entry does not appear on your MR400, then the feature is
not available. The disable feature is an example of a “Dealer Option”
which may be enabled by your dealer.
This feature is sometimes known as “Date Stop”.
The Disable Feature allows you to tell the MR400 to work only until a certain
date. After that date it will not allow you to enter “HIRED” mode from “FOR
HIRE” mode.
This means that you can allow someone else to use your MR400 until a date of
your choice. Beyond this date they will have to return the meter to you to get
the Disable Feature turned off or another date entered into it.
The date shown represents the date from which the MR400 will no longer
work. For example, if the date shown is “23 OCT 08”, then the meter will
work until 11.59PM on 22
nd
October 2008 From 12.00 AM onwards, it will be
disabled.
❢ To use the Disable Feature, you need to know the MR400’s “Disable PIN
Number”. You can use either this or the “User Pin Number”. If you do
not have the PIN number then you can only view the information here.
Please see section 4 for more information.
The menu entry shows the Disable date if it is set. If the fare window says
“Off”, then there is no disable date set.
