Format
config ssh user <username 15> authmode [hostbased [hostname <domain_name 32> |
hostname_IP <domain_name 32> <ipaddr>] | password | publickey]
Parameters
<username 15> - Enter the user name used here. This name can be up to 15 characters long.
automode - Specify user authentication method.
hostbased - Specify as host-based method.
hostname - Specify host domain name.
<domain_name 32> - Enter the domain name here. This name can be up to 32
characters long.
hostname_IP - Specify host domain name and IP address.
<domain_name 32> - Specify host name if configuring Host-based method.
password - Specify user authentication method.
publickey - Specify user authentication method.
Restrictions
Only Administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example
To update user “test” authentication method:
DES-3200-28P:admin#config ssh user test authmode publickey
Command: config ssh user test authmode publickey
Success.
DES-3200-28P:admin#
