NOTICE
IP00 - FORCED AIR REQURIED
When mounting IP00 versions, pay attention to the
specic requirements for cooling and ventilation. Ensure
that the minimum required forced air speed and air
volume are observed as part of the installation of IP00
versions in panels. See Table 4.2 and Table 4.3 for details.
NOTICE
OVERHEATING OF FILTER
In wide and/or deep cabinets, there is a risk that the
airow bypasses the lter. The bypass overheats the
lter, which can lead to equipment damage. To avoid
bypassing of air:
Install air baes to control the airow when
using IP00 lters.
Observe the minimum required forced air speed and air
volume, see chapter 4.1.4.2 Requirements for IP00.
When mounting the
lters in panels or other industrial
enclosures, ensure that there is a sucient airow through
the lter to reduce the risk of overheating the lter and
the surrounding components.
If other heat sources (such as frequency converters) are
installed in the same enclosure, also consider the heat they
generate when dimensioning the cooling of the enclosure.
4.1.4.1 Requirements for IP20
To guide air through the gap between the wall and the
lter, mount the lters on a wall. In installations, for
example panels, where the lter is mounted on rails, the
lter is not suciently cooled because of false airow. To
overcome the false airow, order a backplate (thickness:
2 mm (0.08 in)), shown in Illustration 4.2. See Table 5.10 for
ordering number.
