4.1.4.2 Requirements for IP00
NOTICE
IP00 - FORCED AIR REQURIED
When mounting IP00 versions, pay attention to the
specic requirements for cooling and ventilation. Ensure
that the minimum required forced air speed and air
volume are observed as part of the installation of IP00
versions in panels. See Table 4.2 and Table 4.3 for details.
The IP00 versions do not have integrated fans and
ventilation channels. Thus, it is important that the airow
passes through the lter to avoid that the lter and other
components in the cabinet overheat. When installing a
lter in deep and/or wide enclosures, there is a high risk
that the air bypasses the lter and therefore does not
provide the required cooling. To control the airow in
wide/deep cabinets, mount air baes at the top and at
the bottom. See Illustration 4.11 and Illustration 4.12.
Wrong installations - air bypassing the lter
Illustration 4.8 and Illustration 4.9 show a lter installed in a
deep/wide cabinet without air baes to control the
airow. The illustrations show that part of the airow
bypasses the lter, which results in an overheated lter.
