5 Printer Setting Changes
New settings in this chapter are permanently effective until the next change.
In order to meet specific print requirements, the printer configurations may be changed as
follows: Hold down the【Load/Eject】key while powering on the printer and then release the
key when the Print Head starts to move. After loading paper, the printer prompts the Printer
Settings menu:

[LF]=Next, [TOP]=Back, [LOAD/EJECT]=OK, [ONLINE]=Exit, [ONLINE]+[LOAD/EJECT]=
Save and restart the printer.
System Setup
Follow the printed dialog to input corresponding keys to skip a sub-menu, to change parameter
values, or to save the changes. (Also see section 4.7.1.)
The Printer Settings menu contains 8 sub-menus appearing in the following order when Next
skips a sub-menu (refer to [LF] assignment in the above prompt):
 System Setup
 Paper Setup
 Interface Setup
 Character Setup
 Other Setup
 Bi-directional Alignment
 Black Mark Mode
 Restore Factory Defaults
When you reach the desired sub-menu containing the parameter(s) to be changed, press OK
to go into the sub-menu to make change(s). The remaining procedures are similar to the ones
described in section 4.7.1.
Keys act as proxies for designated functions in the
setting dialog.
