16-Key DK Message Formatting
The general Data Format shown remains valid for the Powerscan™ M8300
DK with display and 16-key keypad. In addition, it also offers an extended
message formatting.
The table below describes co
nventions and definitions used in the examples
on the following page. In both the table and in the examples, formatting
items valid only for the 16-key model are shown in
italics
. The prefix C
means programmed from the standard Data Format parameters (beginning
on page 39) and the prefix S means it is programmed from the 16-key Dis-
play and Keypad Parameters (Data Fo
rmat section beginning on page 39).
[ S Header]
The optional Header programmed from Display and Keypad
Parameters. It is additional to Header programmed from
general Data Format.
It can be:

[ Scanner Data Header]
or
o
[ Keypad Data Header]
depending on whether data is read from a barcode or typed
on the keypad.
[ S Terminator]
The optional Terminator programmed from Display and
Keypad Parameters. It is additional to Terminator pro-
grammed from genera
l Data Format.
It can be:

[ Scanner Data Terminator]
or
o
[ Keypad Data Terminator]
depending on whether data is read from a barcode or typed
on the keypad.
[Code ID]
The optional Code ID formatting. It can be programmed:
