It is important that the dLAN adapters connected via Ethernet are given different
passwords for the repeater circuit, otherwise logical loops occur, and data packets
begin to circulate. In this case, network traffic suddenly breaks down.
An indication of a loop is when the dLAN LED on the dLAN adapter flickers
rapidly without
any additional data traffic.

A repeater circuit without physical attenuation between two dLAN adapters is not
the optimum. The dLAN adapters in the immediate vicinity use the same frequencies
for transferring data and have a negative impact on one another as a result. A circuit
of this type lowers the bandwidth attainable by approx. 50%. A possible
workaround for this is described in the following section.
