should have knowledge in all the technologies relevant to the project (e.g.
antennas, networks, dLAN).
Compare the what has only been theoretical data with the actual situation on-site
now. Make reference to the 6.1.1 check list provided in the previous section here to
determine current situation.

o up-to-date building plans are available provide the perfect
opportunity for taking photos of the escape plans present in the floors, so
that you can transfer them onto your own plan later using suitable
software.

Continue to add information which you were unable determine from a distance such
as...
...all possible cable connections between the Internet connection and the
antenna distribution. Does not just take standard dLAN media coax, 2-wire,
and power line into account, but also other standard networks same as
CAT cable, wireless LAN, etc.,
...an initial inventory of the existing antenna system (connection techniques
employed, numbers of legs and endpoints on the various floors),
...the actual amount of space available and installation options at the
location where the dLAN adaptor is planned to be used,
...fixtures and fittings and special features in the various rooms. In hotels,
for instance, you should ask to view all the various room-types available.
At best, start you site survey at the antenna distribution and work from there
towards the floors and the rooms. Take special notice of special features, which may
make performing the project difficult or impossible later:
If a PowerLine network is planned, existing structures are usually easy to
recognise from the switch boxes (= sub distributions), fire protection zones
and expansion joints. Try to clarify directly how to reach the rooms over an
alternative route if necessary (e.g. via coax),
