Common Function Buttons
The bottom of the touch screen contains task-oriented buttons that
appear on the screen in protocol processor or Switch Matrix mode.
These buttons do not appear when using the System or Help tabs. Addi-
tionally, buttons that do not pertain to the selected protocol will not
appear when that protocol screen is displayed.
The common function buttons include:
Error Insert: Allows a single error to be inserted into the
transmit data stream. The type of error and insertion rate are
determined using the Error to Insert and Error Insert Rate
functions, which are accessed by selecting a protocol’s Trans-
mit tab followed by the Error Alarm tab.
•Stop: Stops the reporting of received data and takes a snapshot
of error, alarm, and event activity.
Restart: Clears and resets error, alarm, and event activity coun-
ters, statistics, and LEDs for the specific protocol processor. It
also starts any activity that was stopped using the Stop button.
Print Report: Opens the Report Setup menu which lists a vari-
ety of Report types that can be Printed or Saved to file. Report
types available are Statistics which includes error and alarm
results and other test statistics, Settings which includes the tests
current function settings, an Event Log report, Screen Capture,
and many more. See the Users Manual for more details.
