MAINTENANCE AND SECURITY
Cleaning the Projector
Periodically cleaning the projector to remove dust and grime will help ensure trouble-free operation.
Warning:
1. Be sure to turn off and unplug the projector at least 30 minutes before cleaning, allowing time for
the projector to cool down. Failure to do so could result in injury.
2. Use only a damp cloth when cleaning. Do not allow water to enter the ventilation openings
on the projector.
3. If any water gets into the projector interior when cleaning, do not connect it to a power outlet,
but have the projector serviced.
Cleaning the Lens
You can purchase a quality optic lens cleaner from most good camera stores. Refer to the following to
clean the projector lens.
1. Apply a little of the optic lens cleaner to a clean soft lint-free cloth.
(Do not apply the cleaner directly to the lens.)
2. Lightly wipe the lens in a circular motion.
Caution:
1. Do not use any abrasive cleaners or solvents.
2. To prevent discoloration or fading, avoid getting any lens cleaning product on the projector case.
Cleaning the Case
Refer to the following to clean the projector case.
1. First gently wipe off any loose dust with a clean damp cloth.
2. Rinse, wring out and then moisten the cloth with warm water with a small amount of mild
detergent, and then carefully wipe the case clean.
3. Rinse all the detergent from the cloth, thoroughly wring out the cloth and gently wipe the
projector over again.
4. Leave the projector to thoroughly dry.
Caution:
To prevent discoloration or fading of the case, do not use abrasive alcohol-based cleaners.
