B.2 Installation Instructions
Before beginning the installation procedure, locate the ASE 150 Ship Kit
(P/N 066399). The Ship Kit contains several items required to install the system.
In addition, you will need an ASE 150 Startup Kit appropriate for the sample cell
size you plan to use. The following Startup Kits are available:
B.2.1 Connecting the Nitrogen Gas Source
1. Connect the 4-mm (0.156-in) elbow fitting (P/N 049272) to the
regulator on the nitrogen gas source.
2. Push one end of the blue 4-mm (0.156-in) OD tubing (P/N 049296)
into the elbow fitting.
3. Push the other end of the tubing into the
NITROGEN connector on the
ASE 150 rear panel (see Figure B-1
).

The nitrogen gas source connection on the ASE 150 rear panel
(see Figure B-1
) is a press fitting.
• To connect a press fitting, firmly push the tubing into the
fitting until it is seated.
• To disconnect a press fitting, use your fingers (or a small
open-end wrench) to press the ring on the fitting in, while at
the same time pulling the tubing out.
