Telemetry System must be used with the instructions for use supplied with
the breathing apparatus (BA).
1.1 Definitions of Alert Icons
The following alert icons are used in this document to provide and highlight areas of the associated text that require greater
awareness by the user. A definition of the meaning of each icon is as follows:
1.2 General
Use of the equipment requires training and observance of this Instruction for Use together with Instructions for Use supplied
with the associated equipment.
Use the equipment only for the purpose as specified in this Instruction for Use or as confirmed in writing by Dräger.
Only trained competent personnel should inspect and service the equipment at regular intervals and a record kept of such
inspections and service.
Dräger recommends a service contract be obtained from your Dräger branch or Agent.
Contact Dräger for details of Service Contracts and Training Courses.
Notify Dräger if there is a component fault or failure.
Use only original Dräger spare parts for servicing and maintenance, or the proper functioning of the equipment may be
impaired.
Use only Dräger Test Equipment for service and maintenance.
1.3 Battery Safety
The battery safety information applies to all battery packs fitted to the Entry Control Board, and the electronic devices fitted to the
breathing apparatus. Further battery safety information is detailed in the instructions for the battery pack type.

This icon indicates additional information on how to avoid inconveniences when carrying out the instructions described.
CAUTION
This icon indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in physical injury to the user, or
damage to the product. It may also highlight an alert against unsafe practices.

This icon indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury to the user.
WARNING
All electronic devices may suffer from a temporary loss of function during high levels of radiation. Following a temporary loss of
function, the Entry Control Board (ECB) microprocessor will reset and record the event as an ‘ECB Reset’ in the datalog. Any
displayed alarm LEDs will be cleared. All previously logged-on electronic monitoring systems will automatically re-logon
and the ECB will resume operation with no loss of function or performance. It should be noted that up to 15 minutes of
datalog events could be deleted.
WARNING
Danger of explosion or fire. Do not remove or install the batteries in an explosive or flammable atmosphere.
Explosion, fire or chemical hazard. Do not expose the batteries to heat sources, do not attempt to recharge any non-
rechargeable battery and do not short out the battery terminals.
Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Use only the recommended battery type.
CAUTION
Environmental damage. Dispose of used batteries in accordance with national or local regulations.
