7-5. When fold is skewed
When fold is skewed, adjust the angle of the folding side guides using the fold misalignment adjustment

Turn the fold misalignment adjustment
knob screw counterclockwise to loosen
it.

Adjust the angle of the stopper using
the folding stopper angle adjustment.
The condition of booklets
Turn the adjustment clockwise.
Turn the adjustment counterclockwise.

Turn the fold misalignment adjustment
knob screw clockwise to tighten it.
• If the stitching position is inside the stitching
prohibited area shown on the stitching
position label, folding misalignment may
occur. Change the stitching width using the
stitching width key on the [Adjust] screen and
adjust so that it is outside this area.
• Folding misalignment may also occur if the
folding side guides are set too narrow or wide.
Perform adjustments in the step mode again,
and check the position of the folding side
guides or the folding back guides.
• If the booklet rides onto the folding side
guide or jams, gradually increase the value
of “stitching side guide open timing” on the
[Function] screen. The standard value is 0.
However, paper may jam at the stitching
section if too many sheets of paper are fed.
