4 UPS installation plan and unpacking

Install the UPS system in the following order.
1. Create an installation plan for the UPS system.
2. Select an installation site for the UPS system.
3. Examine and unpack the UPS cabinet.
4. Unload and install the UPS cabinet.
5. Install the system circuits.
6. Install any accessories or optional parts, if needed.
7. Complete the installation checklist.
8. Have an authorized Eaton Customer Service Engineer do the preliminary operational checks and
startup.
NOTE: Startup and operational checks must be done by an authorized Eaton Customer Service Engineer
or the warranty terms specified in Chapter
10.1 General information about warranty become void. This
service is offered as part of the sales contract for the UPS. Contact service in advance (usually a two-
week notice is required) to reserve a preferred startup date.
CAUTION
Make sure that the line input supply is disconnected from the UPS during
installation.
WARNING
All installation work must be done by an authorized Eaton Customer Service
Engineer or by other qualified service personnel authorized by Eaton in
accordance with the applicable safety standards.
The UPS is not applicable to IT distribution system.

you are going to install. Use the procedures and illustrations in Section
4.3 Site preparations and Section
5.1 About UPS system installation to create a logical plan for installing the system.
44..33 SSiittee pprreeppaarraattiioonnss
For the UPS system to operate at peak efficiency, the installation site must meet the environmental
parameters given in these instructions.
