Make sure the load does not exceed the capacity of a single UPS. The UPS system may be composed of
a single UPS unit or several UPS units connected in parallel.
To start the UPS system:
1. Examine and make sure that the rectifier input switch, the output switch, and the bypass switch are
closed, and that the maintenance bypass switch is open (if the UPS is equipped with such a switch).
Then, close the front door.
2. Turn on the external input distribution switch.
3. Turn on the external bypass distribution switch.
4. Observe the logic power supply indicated on the UPS control panel.
5. Make sure that there are no active alarms in the system.
6. Select Control on the menu page, and enter the password to access the control page.
7. Select System on the control page.
8. Tap on the Start icon on the system page, and select OK to start the system.
When the rectifier and inverter are started and the inverter voltage reaches the set value, Online status
is displayed and the green online status indicator light is on.
As a result, the UPS operates in Online mode, and all UPS status indicator lights in the system indicate
Online mode.

CAUTION
Shutdown is allowed only when a single UPS is redundant in the system.
Shutdown is not allowed if the shutdown of a single UPS causes system
overload.
To shut down a single UPS:
1. Tap on the Control icon on the menu page to access the system control page.
2. Tap on the UPS Control icon on the system control page.
3. Select Shutdown on the UPS control page.
