If no exception is detected, the UPS transfers to ESS mode when the battery is fully charged. If any
exception is detected, the UPS transfers to ESS mode when the exception is removed.
If the bypass is unavailable or the conditions for transferring to ESS mode are immature, the power
module continues operation, and the UPS raises an alarm. Otherwise, the entire UPS system transfers to
ESS mode, and power is supplied to the critical load from the bypass. The normal status indicator light is
on, and the system status displayed is UPS Online, ESS. The UPS status is Ready.

To transfer the load to Online mode:
1. Select Control on the menu page, and enter the password to access the control page.
2. Select System on the control page to access the the system page.
3. Tap on the Disable ESS icon on the system page, and select OK to transfer to Online mode.
As a result, the normal status indicator light is on. If a power module is unavailable and the system stays in
Bypass mode, the UPS raises an alarm. Otherwise, the UPS system transfers to Battery mode and then to
Online mode. The online mode indicator light is on, and the UPS status displayed is Online Mode. The
UPS status is In Service.

To do maintenance on the critical load, complete the following steps to shut down the system:
Shut down the UPS with the LOAD OFF command on the UPS control screen. The UPS LOAD OFF
command allows the UPS to switch off all outputs.
The UPS, including bypass, is at Shutdown state until it is restarted.
1. Select Control on the menu page, and enter the password to access the control page.
2. Single-UPS mode: Select UPS on the control page to access the UPS page.
3. Tap on the Single UPS Shutdown icon on the UPS page, and select OK to confirm.
The prompt Shutdown appears.
CAUTION
If you select Yes, the UPS switches off the output. Use this function only when
you want to switch off the UPS output.
4. Select Yes to shut down the UPS and switch off the UPS output. Select No to cancel the process.
Then, tap on the return arrow.
CAUTION
Do not restart the system after shutdown, unless the reason for shutdown is
confirmed and the error is cleared.
5. Turn off the UPS input switch.
6. Turn off the UPS bypass input switch.
7. Turn off the UPS maintenance bypass switch.
8. Turn off the UPS input and bypass distribution switch.
9. If any external battery cabinet is installed, turn off all battery switches, including the neutral battery wire
switch.
