e. Pinch together top and bottom of the plastic grabber latch clips from inside the rack frame to remove
them from rack frame. Put them in the corresponding square holes in the opposite side of the rack
frame
f. Replace the door by flipping it upside down, then align the hinge pin assemblies and latch into place
by rotating the locked-out pins to allow them to lock into the hinge plates
g. Remove the door handle and lock assembly from inside the door. Flip them upside down and re-install
them into the door frame
h. Remove the two screws that secure the two grabber latch keepers. Flip both of the grabber latch
keepers upside down and reinstall them in the door frame.
i. Try closing door. If it does not fit properly, you may need to loosen the keeper latches and door lock
assembly to provide proper fit.
j. Move the Eaton logo to the upper part of the door.
6. Optional. For ease of installation, remove the rack side panels, especially the panel on the side nearest the
BladeUPS Bar.
7. Plan where each cabinet will be located in the rack and determine the “U” marks to use for mounting the
rails. For example, for a rack containing six UPSs and a bottom wireway, plan to mount the bottom of the
rails at the following marks:

NOTE Recommended rail locations are for example only. Adjust the locations as needed for
your system’s configuration. Allow for hole spacing and numbering. For guidelines for
configuring a parallel system with EBMs, see page 3.
8. Continue to the Installing Input and Output Wiring section.
