5.5.2 Special inputs
Configuration
Digital inputs are available for the use of special functions. These are initially disabled and must be configured
before use (Menu 4-1-3). Detailed information about the configuration can be found in the chapter Alarm and
message inputs. The following special inputs are available:
Special input Function
Shunt lock Detects whether the store is open or closed (used for building control).
Emergency power supply Detects whether an emergency power generator has been activated and can be used to
reduce the load. The signal is currently only evaluated by the GLT. The emergency
power supply for pack controllers and case controllers must be connected via the
respective pack controller.
Sprinkler alarm Detects the fire incident, and can be subsequently used e.g. to switch off the power
supply.
Store lighting Detects whether the store lighting has been switched off. Then a signal is transmitted via
the CAN bus to the lighting management of E*LDS components.
Toggle setpoint Detects whether the setpoints should be toggled. Then a signal for the toggle setpoint is
transmitted via the CAN bus.
ATTENTION
Alarm signalling failure! In the event of the failure of a SIOX extension module with connected
external alarms, their monitoring also ceases. The failure of a SIOX extension module signals an
alarm. But then no further alarm is generated if any of the affected inputs changes to the alarm state.
In order to use these functions, E*LDS components must be used that also support these functions.
Details can be found in the operating manual of the respective E*LDS component.
