The following diagram gives an overview of how the load management affects the various consumers and on
which paths the LSM and the consumers can communicate with each other via the CAN bus.
5.9.2 Calculation of consumption / power from meter values
Settings on the controller
For the calculation of consumption and power using meter values of energy and quantity meters, the meter
constant and transformer constant in the controller must be set in Menu 4-1-6.
A: Meter constantThemeterconstantisusedfordeterminingtheenergyquantity(consumption).Thenumber
of pulses per kWh is determined. The meter constant only needs to be set for pulse meters; M-bus meters do
not have the meter constant!
Unit: pulses/kWh
B: Transformer constantCorrespondstotheconversionratioofthecurrenttransformer,i.e.therelationshipof
the current through the consumer (K/L) to the measuring current (k/l). The setting of the transformer constant
for pulse meters can be adjusted in the controller. Settings for M-bus meters cannot be made in the controller
as the necessary adjustments must strictly be made in the meter.
Unit: none
e.g. transformer with conversion ratio of 100:5
The transformer constant must only be considered in the controller if the meter at the pulse output
does not take account of the transformer constant! If the transformer constant has already been taken
into account for the pulse output of the meter, a 1 must be entered for this in the controller. Note:
Depending on the model and configuration, pulses at the meter output can differ from the consumption
displayed in the meter display.
