Example Configurations:
1. Always On: The following examples show how to configure a smart load to be always enabled.
This can be done in two ways: either by using the “Grid Always On” setting or by using the “Time”
setting. Using “Grid Always On” enables the smart port when there is grid input. If the grid goes
down, the relay will open, and the smart port will no longer receive power. Verify the inverter is not
configured in Off-Grid mode to ensure the smart port is enabled when the grid is present and the
“Smart Load Grid Always On” is enabled. When using “Time” to enable the smart port, disable “Grid
Always On” and set the start and end times to be enabled for a 24-hour time period, as shown
below.
2. Time or SOC: A smart port can be enabled by selecting a time period or by SOC, but not both. The
example on the left enables the port between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. The example on the right enables
the port when the battery SOC is above 70% and disables it when the battery falls below 30% SOC.
3. PV & SOC: Set the smart load will be enabled when the PV is at least 1600W and the battery SOC
is above 70%. It will be disabled when the PV is lower than 1600W or the SOC is lower than 30%.
