There is an error when the communication with the metering chip
cannot be established. Hence, the output is switched OFF.
Replace the device.
Smart Radiator Thermostat
Symptom Possible cause Solution
Thermostat is not responding or app not
measuring the temperature.
Power outage or ELKO Hubgeneration
restarted.
Post power outage, ELKO Hub generation
needs up to 15 minutes to recover to
normal.
Thermostat displays offline in the app or the
center LED blinks.
1. Poor signal between the ELKO Hub
and Thermostat.
2. The batteries need replacing in the
Thermostat.
3. The Thermostat has been reset
through the human interaction at
physical device.
1. Rejoin the Thermostat in the app.
2. Replace the batteries and re-calibrate
Thermostat, refer to the replacing
batteries and calibrating the device.
3. Re-configure the device.

Currency or the cost related information is
not appearing correct.
User has not configured the tariff plan. Configure the tariff plan correctly by setting
the consumption and production target.

Symptom Possible cause Solution
The thermostat has gone offline. • The thermostat is not On.
• The thermostat is no longer in signal
range of the Hub.
• Turn the thermostat On and Off.
• Move the ELKO Smart Hub closer to
the thermostat.
