10.5.3 Alarm relays and optional relays
The alarm relay is not available in devices with a battery backup system. The alarm relay is
required to switch off the device completely when operating with the rechargeable battery.
The following functions can be output via a relay
• Limit switch status
• Diagnostics messages
• Status of a cleaning function in order to control a pump or a valve
You can assign a relay to multiple inputs in order to clean several sensors with just one
cleaning unit, for example.
