12.4 Cleaning
12.4.1 Housing
Clean the housing with soap-based commercially available cleaning agents.
NOTICE
Prohibited cleaning agents
Damage to the housing surface or housing seal
‣ For cleaning purposes, never use concentrated mineral acids or bases.
‣ Never use organic cleaners such as benzyl alcohol, methanol, methylene chloride, xylene or
concentrated glycerol cleaner.
‣ Never use high-pressure steam for cleaning purposes.
12.4.2 Wetted parts
‣ After cleaning, rinse all wetted parts thoroughly with clear water to ensure that all cleaning
agent residue has been removed so it cannot affect subsequent medium samples.
