• Active simulation is indicated by the notice message "SIM. CURR. INP. 1" (# 661).
• The value output for the simulation at the current input is specified in the VALUE
SIMULATION CURRENT INPUT function (5242).
• The measuring device continues to measure while simulation is in progress, i.e. the
current measuring values are output correctly via the other outputs and the display.

This function is not available unless the SIMULATION CURRENT INPUT function
(5241) is switched on.
Use this function to define a freely selectable value (e.g. 12 mA) to be simulated at the
current input. This value is used to test downstream devices and the measuring device
itself.
