Maintenance 6. Joint #3 (Replacing the Reduction Gear Unit)

-check the bolts to make sure that you have not forgotten to tighten any of
the flexspline to the Arm #3.
Hexagon socket head cap bolt:
32-M3×10 (with disc spring 2H-3)
Apply liquid gasket.
Tightening torque : 1.4 N·m (0.15 kgf·m)
ress the bearing into the Arm #3.
Apply adhesive to the contact surface with the Arm #3.
Apply liquid gasket to the outer
periphery of the bearing.
- Spread flat the adhesive and liquid gasket using a spatula.
- Be careful to keep the liquid gasket out of the bearing.
grease to the inside and lip of the oil seal.
Grease: MP-1
the oil seal into the Arm #3.
- Before mounting the oil seal, wipe off
any liquid gasket on the Arm #3.

The height of the oil seal surface and
Arm #1 surface should be the same.
Apply grease for the reduction gear unit on the
teeth
of the flexspline.
