The pins on each port can vary depending on whether the port is configured for RS-232 or RS-422 and
whether the port is configured as a controller or a slave. Depending on these configuration parameters,
the pin-outs for each port are different. Table
2-21 shows the mapping for each port with various
configurations and the pinouts for the DB50 breakout cable for connecting the VTRs.
