1. Neutral position
Choke Control (All Models Except
EFI)
Located on the LH side of the control console (see
Figure 4 ).
T he c hok e is used to aid in star ting a cold engine .
Pulling up on the c hok e will put the c hok e in the
“ON” position and pushing do wn on the c hok e will
put the c hok e in the “OFF” position. Do Not r un a
w ar m engine with the c hok e in the “ON” position.
Throttle Control (X-Series EFI Models
Only)
Located on the center of the control console (blac k
lev er).
T he throttle is used to control engine speed. Mo ving
the throttle lev er forw ard will increase engine speed
and mo ving the throttle lev er to the rear will decrease
engine speed.
T he mac hine has a clutc h sa v er , whic h allo ws the
throttle to automatically reduce engine RPM:
• when the PTO switc h is eng ag ed or diseng ag ed.
• when ste pping off the platfor m with the PTO
eng ag ed.
Engine RPM will resume its setting when the PTO is
reset.
Throttle Control (All S-Series and
X-Series Non-EFI Models Only)
Located on the center of the control console (red
lev er).
T he throttle is used to control engine speed. Mo ving
the throttle lev er forw ard will increase engine speed
and mo ving the throttle lev er to the rear will decrease
engine speed. Mo ving the throttle forw ard into the
detent is full throttle .
Park Brake Lever
Located on the left side of the mac hine .
T he brak e lev er eng ag es a parking brak e on the dri v e
wheels and loc ks the motion controls in neutral.
Note: T he LCD indicator appears in the messag e
displa y on the front console when the park brak e is
eng ag ed (see Figure 4 and Figure 7 ).
Pull the lev er up and rearw ard to eng ag e the brak e .
Push the lev er forw ard and do wn to diseng ag e the
brak e .
W hen parking on a stee p slope , the wheels m ust be
c hoc k ed or bloc k ed in addition to the brak e being
eng ag ed. T he mac hine m ust be tied do wn and brak e
eng ag ed when transpor ting .
P ark brak e m ust be diseng ag ed before motion control
can mo v e out of neutral.
Ignition Switch
Located on the RH side of the control console .
T he ignition switc h is used to star t and stop the
engine . T he switc h has three positions “OFF”, “ON”
and “ST AR T”. Inser t k ey into switc h and rotate
cloc kwise to the “ON” position. R otate cloc kwise to
the next position to eng ag e the star ter (k ey m ust be
held ag ainst spring pressure in this position). Allo w
the k ey to retur n to the “ON” position immediately
after the engine star ts .
