3.5.j Fuel System Malfunctions
1 FUEL PRESS r
This warning means the fuel pressure at the engine inlet is too
low. The cause of illumination can be a malfunction of the
engine driven fuel pump and/or fuel pump assembly. Normally,
engine fuel supply is sufficient due to high wing tank position
and therefore hydrostatic fuel pressure.
Note There are two electrical fuel pumps arranged in parallel set-
up for redundancy reasons located in the engine
compartment. Normally one pump is operative to provide
sufficient pressure at the inlet of the engine driven fuel
pump.
Nevertheless, if the FUEL PRESS illuminates, proceed as
follows:
Fuel Quantity; Check
FUEL SELECTOR VALVE; Check BOTH
FUEL PUMP 1 and 2; Both ON
If FUEL PRESS extinguishes:
Land as soon as practical
If FUEL PRESS still illuminates:
Power Lever; Reduce to minimum power required
