11.1DETAILS
Inside the “Diagnostic menu” there are the diagnosis command of the
control panel and loops.
SW VERSION: the control panel is composed of two micro-controllers; this
function allows to show the versions of the firmware’s
software of the control panel’s and loops micro.
smk.d.ver.: allows to download on the PC the condition of the smoke
detectors; dirt and operational efficiency.
lamp test: allows to verify the led and display function of the control
panel.
autoreset: forces the control panel to reset itself (just as a manual
switch-on switch-off procedure).
hist.reset:
physically deletes all memorized chronological events. The
command “remove”, in the event menu (see chapter
events 4.6.2), it limits itself to simply trace the event as
cancelled; recovery the information may be obtained
through the maps management programme which, once
initiated, downloads all the events (including the ones
previously eliminated with function “remove”).
11.2SOFTWARE VERSION
Inside the “SW Version” menu you find the micro-processor versions for
the control panel and loops.
uP CPU SW VER: version of microprocessor of the control panel (no
mod.).
uL CPU SW VER: version of microprocessor of the loop (no mod.).
The update of the firmware’s software is done through PC by a RS232
interface cable connection.
11.3SMOKE DETECTORS VERIFICATION
The verification process of the status of the smoke sensors (and multi-criteria) allows one to check on the PC the
true condition of the sensors; dirt/dust which may influence the effectiveness of the sensors.
The procedure is:
7. Connect a RS232 cable to the COM3 port (see chapter 2.5) to a port COM of the PC.
8. Launch the programme so that you may begin to set up the system (set up for a HyperTerminal, for
instance); set up the COM port with the following settings:
Baud rate: 9600.
Data bits: 8.
Stop bits: 1.
Parity: even.
Com: the one that you are using in that moment for the connection.
9. Select voice “smk.d.ver.” from “Diagnostic menu”.
