4.2.3 Addressing the inputs and outputs
Further details on addressing can be found in
the manuals for your controller and the IN-
TERBUS module.
The address assignment (process data assign-
ment) of the inputs and outputs of a valve
terminal on the INTERBUS or compatible sys-
tems depends firstly on the INTERBUS module
and the control system used.
CAUTION
There are different address assignments on
the INTERBUS. This is due to the assignment
of the processing data within the INTERBUS
module and not within the Festo valve termi-
nal.

Observe the position of the high and low
bytes when assigning the addresses, as the
position of these bytes may be swapped in
the case of some control systems.
You can thereby avoid errors when addressing
the inputs/outputs.
