Non-floating connection
Under non-floating connection we understand
screening concepts on INTERBUS in which the
electromagnetic interference can be earthed on
both sides via the screening of the bus cable
and the screening ring of a metal plug. A
star-shaped, low-impedance earthing or potential
equalization cables are required here.
Application
Non-floating screening concepts are to be
preferred and are used in the following cases:
• in small systems with low interference
• in bus installations with low-impedance, star-
shaped earthing
• with locally earthed slaves in conjunction with
potential equalizing cables.
