Remote bus
Slaves on the remote bus can be supplied with
operating voltage as follows:
• Common supply: If there is a common power
supply for the control system and all the field
bus slaves, the power should be switched on
via a central switch or power unit.
• Separate supply: If the control system and
the field bus slaves have separate power
supplies, the power should be switched on in
the following sequence:
1. power supply to all field bus slaves
2. power supply to the control system
(master).
Installation remote bus
Slaves on the installation remote bus can be
supplied with 24 V operating voltage inde-
pendently of the remote bus. This can be
switched on/off at any time.
PLEASE NOTE
Festo valve terminals must be supplied sepa-
rately with operating voltage.
