When supplied from the factory, the periphery
fault of a valve terminal will be triggered by all
four causes. However, it can be partly sup-
pressed, if DIL switch 2 inside the node is
switched on
(compare with Chapter 2.2, "Setting the DIL
switch elements").
• DIL switch element 2 at ON:
Fault causes 1 and 2. (tolerance of valve/out-
put voltage and EMERGENCY STOP) will not
be transmitted, but simply suppressed. Only
causes 3 and 4 will be transmitted.
PLEASE NOTE
Fault causes 1 and 2 will be entered in the
status bits irrespective of the setting of DIL
switch element 2.
• DIL switch element 2 at OFF (factory setting):
All fault causes will be transmitted to the
INTERBUS module as periphery faults.
Periphery faults do not cause the system to stop.
You can determine the reaction to periphery
faults by parametrizing the controller board. You
can also acknowledge the periphery fault by
parametrizing the INTERBUS module.
