Potential compensation
The valve terminal has two earth connections for
potential compensation:
• at the operating voltage connection
(pin 4 incoming socket).
• at the left-hand end plate (M4 thread).
PLEASE NOTE
•
Always connect the earth potential to pin 4
of the operating voltage connection.
•
Connect the earth cable of the left-hand end
plate to the earth potential with low im-
pedance (short cable with large diameter).
•
By means of low impedance connections,
make sure that the housing of the valve
terminal and the earth connection at pin 4
have the same potential and that there are
no equalizing currents.
You can thereby avoid interference due to
electromagnetic influences.
Example of connection (type 03)
The following diagram shows the connection of
a common 24 V supply for pins 1 and 2.
Please note that:
• the outputs/valves must be protected against
short circuit/overload with an external max. 10
A fuse.
• the electronic components and inputs must
be protected against short circuit/overload
with an external 3.15 A fuse (recommenda-
tion).
• the supply of the sensors is protected addi-
tionally by the internal 2 A fuse.
