Encoder settings
Parameter Setting Comment
Encoder type – Encoder deactivated Activates and presets the encoder
– Encoder 90° phase single eval.
– Encoder 90° phase double eval.
– Encoder 90° phase quad. eval.
– Encoder with impulse and direct.
Debounce time

– Debounce time for signals A, B and N

The debounce time can be defined with
an accuracy of 15 ns. Maximum value:
0.9 ms
Polarity Channel A,

– Not inverted
– Inverted
Setting for the polarity for the input signal
of the respective channel.
Upper limit – -2³¹ to 2³¹-1
Setting for the minumum and maximum
value for the encoder position.
If the set limits are exceeded Overflow
behaviour
Lower limit – -2³¹ to 2³¹-1
Overflow behaviour – Wrap around If the maximum value is exceeded, the
current value jumps to the minimum
value.
If the minimum value is fallen below, the
current value jumps to the maximum
value.
– No wrap around
If the maximum or minimum value is
reached, the current value is retained. The
rest of the increments are ignored until the
direction of rotation reverses.
