FJDZ42P Electric Zero-turn Mower User Manual
7 Operations
7.1 Safety Instructions
Understand proper use of the mower and read this manual before any operations. Start with
slow maneuvers to familiarize yourself with the mower operations before working at the normal
speed. Inexperienced operators should not mow on slopes or uneven terrains.
If you lose control of steering during an operation, immediately place the two lap bars in the
parking position, and press the start/stop button. Ensure that the indicator is off, check the
mower, and then contact the dealer for troubleshooting.
The two lap bars of the mower are designed for sensitive response. To avoid abrupt movement
of the mower, operate the lap bars slowly. With more practice, you can operate the mower
skillfully. Use caution when making a turn, and decelerate before a sharp turn.
Inexperienced operators may oversteer or lose control of the mower. Therefore, you are advised
to operate slowly for practice before working at the normal speed.
Approach depressions or raised obstacles at a slow speed to avoid falling off the mower. When
driving on wet turf, keep both driving wheels rolling in the same direction. Driving with one
wheel stopped may damage the turf. Keep the blades sharp and ensure that spare blades are
available for replacement. Dull blades and blades improperly sharpened may lead to various
problems. For details about blade sharpening, see chapter 9 "Maintenance". Check blade
sharpness every day.
Power off the mower when you must work under it. To do that, tap the blade switch on the
control terminal screen to stop the blades, place the lap bars in the parking position, press the
start/stop button, and ensure that the indicator goes off. Wear gloves when handling the blades.
Always check for blade damage if the mower hits a rock, a tree branch, or other foreign objects
during an operation.
