10 Environmentally Safe Battery Disposal
The batteries of this mower contain the following toxic and corrosive material: lithium-ion.
WARNING
All toxic materials must be disposed of in a specified manner to prevent environmental
contamination. Before disposing of damaged or worn-out lithium-ion battery packs, contact
the local waste disposal agency or Environmental Protection Agency office for information and
specific instructions. Send the batteries back to a local recycler certified for lithium-ion
disposal.
WARNING
If the battery pack breaks, with or without leaks, do not recharge or use it. Discard the broken
battery pack and replace it with a new one. Do not attempt to repair it. To avoid injury,
explosion, electric shock, and environmental contamination, cover the battery terminals with
insulated rubber tape.
Do not attempt to remove or destroy any battery pack components.
Do not attempt to open the battery pack.
The electrolytes released after battery leakage are corrosive and toxic. Do not discharge the
solution into the river, and avoid skin contact or swallowing.
Do not mix these batteries with your household trash.
Do not incinerate these batteries.
Do not discard them in any place that will become a landfill.
