FJDZ42P Electric Zero-turn Mower User Manual
The FJD mower can operate on moderate slopes horizontally (transversely). When operating on
slopes up to 15 degrees, be aware of any condition that may cause the driving tires to lose
traction, resulting in loss of control of the mower. Do not operate on a slope until you are
thoroughly familiar with the equipment.
Do not operate on slopes greater than 15 degrees.
Drive the mower off the slope with extreme caution if any sign of traction loss is detected. Operate
on the slope again after the problem is resolved. Terrain conditions can affect traction, resulting in
loss of control of the mower. Some of the conditions to be aware of are:
Wet terrain
Depressions in the ground, such as holes, ruts, and washouts
Mounds of dirt
Certain types of soil, such as sand, loose dirt, gravel, and clay
Grass type, density, and height
Extremely dry conditions
Tire pressure
These are only some examples requiring extra caution when you operate on slopes. There are many
other possible conditions that cannot be all listed here. Be extremely careful when operating on
slopes.
