9.1 Regular Maintenance
Regular maintenance is the best prevention. The following sections provide proper maintenance
suggestions and schedules that the operators should follow. Remain alert to unusual noises, as
they could be signaling a problem. Visually inspect the mower for any abnormal wear or damage.
When performing scheduled maintenance service, you can also detect potential problems. Inspect
the mower daily for grass clippings, and wire and string tangles. Grass clippings and dirt may
accumulate under the cutting deck, especially when the grass is wet or has high moisture content.
